New Insurance Updates at Amend Massage Therapy!
I am excited to share an update regarding the health insurance plans I currently accept, along with information about additional …
Monday-Saturday: 8AM-7PM (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)
From the moment you walk in, my goal is for you to feel comfortable, cared for, and completely at ease. I’ve created a calm, welcoming space where you can step away from the stress of daily life and focus on your well-being.
I take the time to listen and understand what your body is needing, whether that’s relief from pain, focused therapeutic work, or simply time to relax and reset. I use a variety of modalities and techniques, along with pressure that feels right for you, to help you leave feeling better both physically and mentally.
As a solo provider, I personally handle your care and insurance billing to keep the process simple and seamless.
Currently accepting:
Premera Blue Cross
Regence BlueShield
Aetna
Kaiser Permanente
TriWest Healthcare Alliance (VA)
Coordinated Care (Ambetter)
L&I (WA State Labor & Industries)
Please note, it is my policy to offer 60-minute medical massage sessions only, as this is the duration most insurance companies cover—even if your benefits booklet may indicate additional coverage. This helps keep the billing process simple and avoids delays or the need to go back and forth with insurance companies regarding coverage.
If you would like additional time, I offer an optional 30-minute add-on for $35. This is not billed to insurance and is paid out of pocket at the time of service, in addition to any copay or coinsurance.
When booking online, select Medical Massage – (Your Insurance Company).
To add extra time, select the add-on. To keep your session at 60 minutes, simply click “Skip This”.
After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email along with two separate emails containing required intake forms to complete before your first visit.
Please bring your insurance information, photo ID, referral/prescription (if your plan requires one) and any applicable copay or coinsurance to your first appointment.
For your convenience, I accept HSA/FSA cards, credit/debit cards, cash, and Venmo.
Sessions are customized to support pain relief, relaxation, mobility, and overall wellness.
I’m Jamie Matson, a licensed massage therapist in Yakima, WA. I have been practicing massage therapy since 2012 and opened Amend Massage Therapy in 2013. After taking time off to raise my son, I reopened in September 2025.
Location:
102 N 56th Avenue, Suite A
Yakima, WA 98908
My approach is client-centered, personalized, and results-driven while still creating a peaceful, supportive environment where every client feels heard, comfortable, and renewed.
Whether you are seeking focused therapeutic work or a calming session to unwind, it is an honor to be part of your wellness journey.
I want your experience at Amend Massage Therapy to feel simple, clear, and welcoming from the very beginning. Below you’ll find helpful information about policies, booking, insurance, and what to expect for your visit.
I understand that illness and unexpected events can happen. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. For convenience, you may reschedule your appointment online through the confirmation email you received.
Appointments that are less than 24 hours away must be canceled by phone so I can offer your session time to another client.
Clients who repeatedly cancel appointments with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled session cost.
No-show or no-call appointments will be charged 50% of the booked session cost and may result in the inability to schedule future appointments.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened so that other clients are not impacted. The full session fee will still apply.
Thank you for understanding and respecting the schedule. This policy allows me to offer appointment times to other clients, as sessions are by appointment only.
Google Street View may not show the building correctly, and directions can sometimes be confusing. My office is located at:
102 N 56th Avenue, Suite A
Yakima, WA 98908
If you’re traveling west on Summitview, turn left at the light onto 56th Avenue. You’ll see a brick building on the right, just after Summit Thrift. The building also houses Advanced Vocational Services and Villbrandt & Co. Those business names are on the monument sign out front and on the front entrance doors.
My business sign is on the rear entrance door.
You can access my office from either entrance, and parking is available in both the front and rear of the building.
Front entrance: Walk down the corridor toward the back of the building. My office is on the left, just before the rear door.
Rear entrance: My office is the first door on the right.
I offer Swedish massage for gentle relaxation, deep tissue massage for stubborn tension, pregnancy massage for expecting mothers, soothing hot stone sessions, and tailored medical massage. Each session is customized to help you feel restored, rejuvenated, and cared for.
I currently accept Premera, Regence, Kaiser Permanente, Aetna, TriWest Healthcare Alliance (VA benefits), and Washington State L&I claims.
Please note, it is my policy to offer 60-minute medical massage sessions only, as this is the duration most insurance companies cover—even if your benefits booklet may indicate additional coverage. This helps streamline the billing process and prevents delays that can occur when clarifying coverage with insurance companies.
If you have insurance through one of these providers, please verify your massage therapy benefits with your insurance company prior to scheduling. Be sure to confirm any copay, coinsurance, deductible, and whether a prescription or referral is required.
Once your benefits are verified, you can book online through my service menu. If there is an option for prepayment, click “Skip This” since your insurance company will be billed for the 60 minute session.
For those wanting more time on the table, I offer an optional 30-minute add-on to extend your medical massage session for more targeted therapeutic work. This add-on is $35, paid out of pocket, and is not billed to insurance. To ensure availability, it must be booked at the same time as your appointment, as my schedule may not allow for it to be added at the time of service.
After booking, you will receive an email confirmation followed by two separate forms to complete before your appointment.
At your first appointment, please bring your insurance card, photo ID, and any required prescription from your provider. Your provider may also fax your referral to:
Medical Referral Fax: 509-268-2994
Any copay is due at the time of service. I handle submitting the billing to your insurance so you can focus on healing and self-care.
Yes. I offer specialized pregnancy massage designed for comfort after week 13 of pregnancy. My studio is equipped with supportive bolsters and nurturing techniques to help ease tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation.
My studio is a peaceful, private space with soft lighting, tranquil music, and calming aromatherapy to help you relax from the moment you arrive.
Yes. Every massage is personalized. Before your session, I’ll talk with you about your goals, preferences, and any areas needing special attention so your experience feels supportive and tailored to you.
My massage table is wider and longer than the average table and is professionally rated to safely support up to 550 lbs, offering stability, comfort, and peace of mind.
You can easily book your massage online or reach out directly by phone if you have questions or need help scheduling.
After your session is booked, you’ll receive an intake form by email, or two forms if you’re scheduled for medical massage. These need to be completed before your appointment.
If you’re unable to complete them ahead of time, please arrive a few minutes early. Arriving late or without completed forms may shorten your session if my schedule is full, though the full session fee would still apply.
Once your intake forms are on file, they will be good for the year. At your first appointment, we’ll review your health history, discuss your goals, and go over any questions or concerns so you feel comfortable and informed.
Yes. Hot stone massage is available year-round at Amend Massage Therapy. The warmth of the stones is deeply relaxing and helps melt away tension.
Hot stone therapy is offered as an add-on exclusively to 90-minute and 120-minute sessions due to the extra preparation and cleanup required between sessions. Please be sure to select the hot stone add-on when booking.
As a solo practitioner, I bring warmth, intention, and individualized care to every session. My hope is that each visit leaves you feeling lighter, supported, and truly cared for.
I do occasionally run promotions. The easiest way to check is to click the Book Now icon on my website or follow my Facebook page for updates.

From first-time visitors to long-time clients, many share how massage has helped relieve pain, reduce stress, and leave them feeling truly renewed.
These testimonials highlight not only the benefits of massage, but also the welcoming environment, professional approach, and personalized care that set my practice apart. I’m honored to be trusted as part of each client’s wellness journey and deeply grateful for the kind words that inspire others to experience it for themselves.
